Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique that is thousands of years old. It is part of the larger system of Chinese medicine. and involves the use of very small, sterile, stainless steel needles in specific areas on the human body called acupuncture points. These points fall along specific acupuncture meridians that usually originate or end in the digits of the hands and feet, but can also originate in the head. Herbal Medicine is the use of plants for both preventing and healing both chronic and acute health issues and is one of the oldest forms of medicine. Qi Gong/Medical Qi Gong – Qi Gong literally means skill with qi, and is a thousands year old health practice originally from China used to both preserve health when well and to heal illness when sick. It consists of movement, sound, meditation and intention to move qi in the body and thus attain good health. Medical Qi Gong is similar as it abides by the same principles and is one of the four main branches of Chinese medicine, however, the medical qi gong practitioner uses their skill to direct the flow of qi. Comprehensive Initial Consultation ($190) – A comprehensive evaluation is a 1.75-2 hour visit that combines herbal medicine, Chinese nutritional therapy, qi gong prescriptions, as well as an acupuncture treatment.
