I have helped many people heal holistically from a wide range of conditions using herbs and acupuncture. I never guarantee any results, and yet most people find great benefits from a combination of acupuncture and herbs, as well as the use of qi gong. Being a new father I experienced a level of worry and fear around his health and well-being and a new time drain that I was unaccustomed to. Up until I became a father, I was used to having abundant time for my qi gong practice and also time for self-healing with herbs and Chinese medicine. I experienced and continue to experience great joy with fatherhood, and I also felt an immense responsibility in caring for this beautiful child.
Somewhere down the road of fatherhood I realized that my eyes would experience pain every time I looked at a computer screen. This pain was most noticeable at night but occurred throughout the day as well. I bought myself specialized glasses for viewing screens that block “blue light” and started focusing my now limited qi gong practice on healing my eyes (with such practices as closed eye sun gazing and some internal alchemy for the eyes). I noticed benefits, and yet my eyes still hurt to the point where it was very difficult to have any screen time at all. My fear was that I was losing vision and could possibly go blind. Combined with my worries and fears for my vision, my fears for my child’s well-being continued. As many parents of small children can understand, my sleep was also very limited. And I was experiencing pain and eye strain when driving long distances. I thought that my eyes were simply going to continue to degenerate, and I was going to need glasses and to avoid computer screens indefinitely.
I finally stumbled upon a micro system of acupuncture put forward by Andy Rosenfarb in his excellent book entitled, “The Black Book Of Micro Acupuncture 48”. In it, he explains his system of acupuncture and gives examples that allowed me to apply its benefits to myself and my eye pain. The acupuncture points are on the bottom of the feet. I was amazed that the first time I put the needles in, I immediately felt the pain go away and my vision improve. I was using a printed eye exam to test my vision before and after treatments and found my vision improved to around 20/20 when it had been somewhere around 20/40. The benefits were very tangible, and as I result, I continue giving myself acupuncture as needed. In addition to acupuncture, I also use eye drops that he recommends to moisten my eyes and a customized herbal formula to address the underlying Chinese medicine patterns that are leading to the degeneration of function in my eyes.
Another benefit of his books are some simple eye health practices, as well as his explanations of how fear, worry and anger can damage the eyes. This direct connection between emotions and physical symptoms is an area where Chinese medicine shines. The Chinese system explains how specific emotions effect specific organ systems, as well as how to release and transform these emotional patterns of response. Qi gong and meditation offer the tools to address this and other health issues on the emotional level. This is where simple qi gong practices can help deal with the root of the emotional response, while the acupuncture, herbs and eye drops heal the physical eyes. Also recommended are simple lifestyle choices such as finding ways to sleep a bit more, drink a bit more water and choose more harmonious emotions with greater frequency. These will also help deal with the “root” or underlying framework causing damage to the “branch” or symptom, in this case eye pain, dryness in the eyes and vision loss.
Using acupuncture, herbs, and eye drops on a consistent basis my eyes have improved to the extent that I am certain nothing else short of a divine miracle would have provided. But the acupuncture system is not a miracle. It is simply a proven microsystem of acupuncture points that are specifically suited towards eye health and healing.
I now feel that I can be attentive towards my young son and help him thrive to my fullest ability while healing and taking care of myself. And all without sacrificing any time that I would normally spend with him. Thanks to acupuncture, herbs, and the eye drops I can see the little ants he points out and the various animals he is fascinated with. I can help him understand their names and characteristics, whereas before I was having trouble seeing small and/or distant objects.
I fully recommend this micro system of acupuncture along with traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and herbs as well as Andy Rosenfarb’s drops for eye healing and health. This holistic combination is relatively easy to apply, and I wholeheartedly recommend it and am offering it for eye issues. As always, I can never guarantee any kind of result. All I can say is that this system has helped many heal from eye problems, including myself. As an acupuncturist and healer, I am very happy to have stumbled upon it for my personal healing and hope it can do the same for you. If you have an eye condition, I hope you will consider trying this system of acupuncture along with some herbs, eyedrops and/or qi gong so that you can hopefully also experience some healing.
